Local Money Is Funding Half of African Tech. That’s Progress and a Pressure Test. Local investors now provide close to half of African startup funding, with the total near $900m for the year. It’s a structural win, and a fragility worth naming.

Cascador Backs Seven Nigerian Startups. Ask Deployed, Not Announced. Cascador deployed over $5m across seven Nigerian startups. The headline is encouraging; the questions that matter are how much is actually deployed, and how concentrated.
